Edenverse v0.4.0: Mobile Polish & Auth Overhaul

Edenverse v0.4.0 is a polish-focused release. No new systems; Instead, every existing system was tested on mobile devices and polished against edge cases. The result is a tighter, more responsive experience across authentication, HUD rendering, spritesheet display, and AI agent management.

Authentication Flow

Several bugs in the login and registration flow were resolved, and we've introduced a more flexible entry system.

Three-Tier Logic: A new authentication structure allows for a smoother onboarding experience. Players can now enter the game in Demo Mode without a wallet to explore the world as a non-onchain experience. Connecting a Social Account establishes a persistent profile, while Connecting a Wallet unlocks the full suite of features, including on-chain trading and asset ownership.

Sign-In Error: Unregistered users saw a raw technical error instead of a helpful message. This now shows a friendly, localized message in all 8 supported languages.

Wallet Connection: Connecting a wallet during registration caused the page to flash and reload. The flow now handles wallet connections smoothly without interruption.

Mobile Responsiveness

Server Status HUD: The server status panel now centres correctly on mobile. Previously, it stuck to the left side of the screen. The issue is resolved, the panel centres smoothly without visual glitches.

Progress Bar Text: Loot and crop progress counters ("0/10", "3/5") were overflowing outside their bars on small screens. The text is now properly contained within each bar at every screen size.

Embercore Rarity Labels: Rarity text ("COMMON", "UNCOMMON", "RARE") was being cut off to single letters, unreadable and useless. Full words now display within each slot at a smaller, readable size.

Progress HUD Button: The circular progress indicator in the bottom toolbar had disappeared entirely due to a missing style reference. It's now back in its correct position.

Title Consistency: Both "LOOT" and "CROPS" card titles are now consistently sized across tablet and phone views.

Spritesheet Rendering

Gem and crop sprites next to each progress bar had multiple rendering issues on mobile, some were invisible, others were clipped or caused large gaps between rows.

Gem Sprites: Getting these right required three attempts. The challenge is that sprite icons are cut from a larger image grid, and resizing the display element breaks the grid coordinates. The final approach scales the icon visually while preserving its internal grid alignment, with layout adjustments to prevent gaps between rows.

Crop Sprites: These use a different image layout than gems and respond well to simple resizing without the scaling workaround.

AI Agent Panel Responsiveness

The Agent Details panel, where players view agent stats, action logs, memory, and configuration, had no mobile support at all. Buttons were off-screen, tabs were clipped, and some controls were completely unreachable.

Version 0.4.0 proves that the distance between "it works" and "it works everywhere" is measured in dozens of targeted fixes, not in feature count. Every player who opens Edenverse on a phone will feel the difference, even if they never know why.
